people in 2018 really are out here thinking that because karkat yells and is angry he’s not healthy for Dave when in reality none of Dave’s triggers or beating were accompanied by anger or yelling but instead by cold unreadable silence. dave absolutely benefits from someone who yells and broadcasts their emotions so wildly, just. he really wasn’t abused through anger, the absence of emotions is what really fucks him up, and karkat couldn’t hide an emotion if he were wearing 15 masks

you know that trope in shows or movies where the evil character is in captivity and starts talking to the Heroes to try and mess with their minds, and starts analysing them going “face it you’ll never be good enough” … “you try to act tough but inside you’re broken” … and the Hero gets really rattled and upset.

My parents went to the zoo today and my mom peered over a fence to look at some fish and a roseate spoonbill was sitting on a nearby sign and decided she was too close so he bit her in the face and she told him he was a “real naughty bastard” and then he bit her again
