Suddenly, looking at the scene in front of him, Reigen understood why Mob had always been afraid of what he kept locked inside. imagine a powerful esper from another town comes into spice city to challenge mob and when the esper confronts mob (having blown the others away to a distance), the esper presents their own worldview and then asks mob about mob’s own ideology but mob misses the esper’s meaning because it’d never occur to mob to incorporate his own ability to use psychic powers into an ideology for how he views the world, so the esper prompts mob by re-phrasing “what are your core principles?” and mob’s like “oh!” and he thinks really hard and everyone’s waiting and then he speaks,”my core principles are… strength, flexibility, stamina, trying to eat more protein, a growth mindset–”

and everyone’s just like “wtf” as mob goes on except reigen who’s screaming inside his own head in disbelief “THE BODY IMPROVEMENT CLUB’S CORE PRINCIPLES, HE’S RECITING THE BODY IMPROVEMENT CLUB’S CORE PRINCI
